This is another one of those cover-based purchases that always tend to catch my eye and rarely ever end up being worth anything. This one has succumbed to mediocrity.
Bad Kitty, a detective framed by a corrupt system who loses everything running from goons wanting to take her outta the picture, decides to finally be a little proactive and seek out her own justice. Well, gee. Maybe if you’d have done that sooner, you wouldn’t have lost Mr. Right.
The art is pleasing to the eye, but not particular special. It’s nice looking like every other nice looking comic of the time. I do like her character designs. The layout can be confusing at times making me a little confused on their read order, but that’s about the only real problem this comic has in that department.
We have a hot chick, romance, tragedy, gunfire, brawling, and explosions all crammed into this issue and it moves pretty quickly. It can hold my interest, but the story isn’t anything special and the writing is simply "okay." Being a three issue run I didn’t set my sights too high. But again, we’ve seen this all before. I won’t bother expecting any surprises in the future.
