Will to Power

The year is 1938 and Nikola Tesla’s creation, Atomic Robo agrees to arrest the German Helsingard in return for legal status as a human being and American citizenship.

The task is not so simple for Robo, as the Germans prove quite tenacious and annoying. When Helsingard makes his appearance toting an unusual implant, arrest isn’t an option.

Oh! Another book I actually like! Amazing! It has good art, good action, and the kind of comedy I enjoy. Robo has some great lines and moments in this book.

Blam!

It’s not like that doesn’t hurt, y’know.

His personality is wonderful. I wouldn’t mind a life-sized statue of him to stand in my garage. I’d settle for a cardboard standee. I really like his design and those spherical blue eyes. The pin-ups in the back of him are very cool, too. I’m really tempted to scan the second one to add to the collage on my wall. I don’t want to harm the book, though, so I’ll probably just end up printing out a photo of it. I still have a ton of wall space left and haven’t updated it in a long time.

I really can’t wait to see what Tesla’s like. I bet both of them would be quite the pair. Hopefully he’ll be making an appearance in the next book. I’ll be disappointed if he never shows.

Stuff that involves the Germans dabbling in the supernatural and weird science is like a match made in heaven. I especially like the super soldier stuff. I remember watching a documentary about that a long time ago. I’ve also read a lot of alternate histories involving Hitler dabbling in all sorts of things. They just never get old to me.

And the art! Scott Wegner! His work on Killer of Demons made me fall for his style. I’m so glad to see more of it and it’s awesome. Inside I’m doing the happy dance.

I can’t wait to get more of this, and I know there’s a more recent story out, so I’m going to have to add both to my lists.
